The wait is over. Nobody 2 storms into cinemas today, bringing back Bob Odenkirk’s Hutch Mansell, the everyman whose idea of a family trip involves as much ammunition as sunscreen.
Four years have passed since Hutch dismantled the Russian mob in his own unorthodox style. He’s still tangled in their world, only now he’s $30 million in debt and chipping away at it through a relentless series of hits. In a rare bid for normalcy, he and wife Becca (Connie Nielsen) decide on a getaway with the kids and Hutch’s father (Christopher Lloyd). The destination? A coastal town that turns out to be less postcard-perfect, more criminal underbelly.

Plummerville may look like a vacationer’s dream, but its reality is far darker. A corrupt theme-park operator, played by John Ortiz, has the place under his thumb, aided by a less-than-lawful sheriff portrayed by Colin Hanks. It doesn’t take much for Hutch to attract the wrong kind of attention, and when he does, the situation escalates with characteristic speed. Sharon Stone joins the chaos as a villain whose presence makes Hutch’s previous enemies seem almost polite.
The official synopsis paints it plainly: “Four years after he inadvertently took on the Russian mob, Hutch remains $30 million in debt to the criminal organization and is working it off with an unending string of hits on international thugs.” That workload — combined with the strain on his marriage — sets the stage for the ill-fated holiday.

Behind the camera, director Timo Tjahjanto (The Night Comes for Us) injects the sequel with a sharper edge, dialing up the grit and the carnage. Derek Kolstad, creator of the first film, returns to co-write with Aaron Rabin, while Odenkirk also takes on producing duties alongside Kelly McCormick, David Leitch, Marc Provissiero, and Braden Aftergood.
Nobody 2 doesn’t appear interested in softening Hutch’s rough edges. If anything, the sequel leans into the chaos. Vacation might have been the intention, but for Hutch Mansell, a break is just another chance to blow something up. You can catch in theaters from today, check out the trailer below.
