'Fallout' Season 2 Sets December Return and First Look at New Vegas -

Amazon Prime Video has set December for the launch of Fallout Season 2, bringing the post-apocalyptic drama back after a breakout debut last year. Alongside the announcement, new images were released, giving fans their first glimpse of the series’ version of New Vegas, one of the most iconic settings from the game franchise.

The series continues its blend of dark humor, brutal violence, and twisted Americana, rooted in a world rebuilding two centuries after nuclear devastation. At the heart of the story is Lucy, played by Ella Purnell, an optimistic Vault-dweller whose journey to the surface drags her into the chaos of the wasteland. Walton Goggins returns as the Ghoul, a scarred bounty hunter.

Season 2 expands the ensemble with new and returning faces. Alongside Purnell and Goggins are Aaron Moten, Moisés Arias, Kyle MacLachlan, Sarita Choudhury, and Michael Emerson. In one of the most talked-about casting moves, Macaulay Culkin joins the lineup for the upcoming season.

The first season launched in April 2024 to glowing reviews, securing a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and drawing both critical and fan enthusiasm. Variety wrote that series creators Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet “wisely chose to avoid a straight adaptation. Instead, they constructed an original story within the game universe.” That approach helped the show stand out from the long line of uneven video game adaptations.

Awards followed quickly. Fallout picked up Emmy nominations for outstanding drama series, drama actor for Goggins, and drama writing for Wagner and Robertson-Dworet. It also collected a win for music supervision, proving the show was more than just another genre exercise.
