A new teaser trailer for Bird Box Barcelona has been released and we see or don’t see rather, the creatures from the original Bird Box in the film’s Spanish city setting.
2018’s Bird Box starring Sandra Bullock was a huge success for Netflix with more than 80 million viewers, it’s surprising its taken this long to get some sort of follow up.
Bird Box Barcelona is not a prequel, it’s actually happening at the same time as the events that caused mayhem in the first movie, so we get to see how it effected a different part of the world. That is according to producer Dylan Clark in an interview with Entertainment Weekly he said.
“The events that we see Malorie/Sandra Bullock endure in the original Bird Box are happening at the same time that Sebastian/Mario Casas is going through his journey, being in Barcelona gave us a chance to see how surviving this intense threat in an iconic city poses different challenges.”
