Marvel’s next Spider-Man adventure has dropped a fresh behind-the-scenes look, and fans are already dissecting every frame. Spider-Man: Brand New Day, currently filming under Destin Daniel Cretton’s direction in Glasgow, is Tom Holland’s fourth solo outing as the wall-crawler and if this new “Day One on Set” featurette is anything to go by, it’s shaping up to be a crowd-pleaser.
The footage shows Holland back in the suit, swinging through real streets under actual sunlight, greeting fans, and filming practical stunts. But at the nine-second mark, sharp-eyed viewers noticed something curious: a red, horned emblem on a piece of armored equipment. For gamers and comics readers, that symbol looks strikingly like the mark of the Inner Demons, the gang led by Martin Li, better known as the villain Mr. Negative.

It’s far from confirmation. The symbol could be a simple Easter egg, a nod to another Marvel faction, or just a design flourish. Still, the possibility has sparked theories that Brand New Day might be planting seeds for Mr. Negative’s live-action debut. That would put him alongside an already packed roster, which includes returning foes Scorpion (Michael Mando) and the Punisher (Jon Bernthal), plus appearances from Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk.
New cast members Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Melanie Scrofano are also on board, though their roles remain under wraps. Whether this points toward a street-level Spider-Man story in a New York run by Wilson Fisk — or even the formation of the Sinister Six — remains to be seen.

Beyond the speculation, the video carries a dose of wholesome energy. Holland is seen posing for photos with young fans at the barricades, in full costume. “It’s the first time we’ve ever had fans on set for day one, so it’s really exciting to share this with them,” Holland told the featurette’s crew.
Plot details are still closely guarded, and thanks to the events of No Way Home, the MCU’s characters may not even remember Peter Parker’s true identity. But with Spider-Man: Brand New Day set for release on July 31, 2026, Marvel and Sony are clearly building anticipation one tease at a time! You can watch the BTS teaser below.
