Stephen King’s ‘The Long Walk’ Reveals New Posters Including Mark Hamill’s Major

Walk or die! New posters released for ‘The Long Walk’

The countdown has begun for The Long Walk, and the tension is already starting to rise. IGN has unveiled new character posters for the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s dystopian novel, giving audiences a closer look at the desperate faces behind the fatal march. Each image features a contestant, their number, and the heavy silence of a game with no second chances.

The posters feature the film’s young ensemble: Cooper Hoffman plays lead character Raymond Garraty, while David Jonsson steps in as Peter McVries. Rounding out the group are Ben Wang (Olson), Charlie Plummer (Barkovitch), Tut Nyuot (Baker), Garrett Wareing (Stebbins), Joshua Odjick (Parker), Jordan Gonzalez (Harkness), and Roman Griffin Davis (Curley). Each actor appears under the number assigned to their character in the competition. Also included is a solo poster for Mark Hamill’s Major the man who enforces the rules with lethal precision.

Directed by The Hunger Games veteran Francis Lawrence, the film adapts the book King originally released under the name Richard Bachman. In this world, teenage boys compete in a televised death march, where stopping, even for a moment, means execution. The premise is simple. The stakes are not. You walk, or you die. And there can only be one winner.

With its stark premise and stripped-down survival stakes, The Long Walk strips away spectacle in favor of psychological pressure. There are no elaborate arenas, no grand rebellions just a line of young men walking into oblivion under a relentless sun, their fate determined by endurance and willpower.

The Long Walk will arrive in cinemas on September 12. Until then, you can check out all the new posters and the trailer below.
