The MonsterVerse is gearing up for its next colossal chapter. Warner Bros. and Legendary have officially confirmed the title and release date for the next installment in the titan saga: Godzilla x Kong: Supernova. Alongside the announcement, a short teaser was released, which you can watch below, signaling that production is now underway on what will be the sixth film in the expanding franchise.
Directed by Grant Sputore, Supernova continues the journey of the iconic Titans who went from fierce rivals to reluctant allies. The film is set to hit theaters on March 26, 2027. A cryptic teaser, unveiled on social media and YouTube, features global Titan activity, emergency broadcasts, and Godzilla’s unmistakable roar—light on plot, heavy on atmosphere.

While exact story details remain tightly under wraps, expectations are already mounting. That starry title and cosmic design elements have fueled fan speculation about the potential arrival of a space-faring adversary. Whether it’s SpaceGodzilla or another threat from beyond, one thing’s clear—this showdown won’t stay grounded for long.
Sputore’s entry into the MonsterVerse brings a fresh, packed cast alongside returning faces. Dan Stevens reprises his role as Trapper, introduced in The New Empire. He’ll be joined by Kaitlyn Dever, Matthew Modine, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Sam Neill, Jack O’Connell, and Delroy Lindo.

The script was penned by David Callaham and Michael Lloyd Green, and production is being led by long-time franchise producers Mary Parent and Thomas Tull. Supernova follows Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, which grossed over $570 million globally and helped cement the franchise’s continued popularity.
Meanwhile, the MonsterVerse’s television counterpart, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, is also expanding. The Apple TV+ series has been renewed for a second season, adding further depth to this interconnected universe.
With production now underway, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova promises to deliver another high-stakes clash on a scale that only the MonsterVerse can deliver. Strap in—this one could go interstellar.
