Eddie Murphy is set to make his highly anticipated return as the iconic Axel Foley this week in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, marking 30 years since his last appearance as Foley in Beverly Hills Cop 3. The film will debut on Netflix this Wednesday, July 3rd.
Joining Murphy are original trilogy stars Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser, and Bronson Pinchot, alongside newcomers Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Kevin Bacon. Directed by Mark Molloy, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F looks a promising, nostalgic and star-studded continuation of the beloved franchise.

‘Axel F‘ sees the fearless Detroit police detective, return to Beverly Hills, California. This time, he teams up with his estranged adult daughter, Jane (played by Taylour Paige), to unravel a web of crime and corruption.
After his daughter’s life is threatened Foley joins forces with a new partner (Levitt) and old pals Billy Rosewood (Reinhold) and John Taggart (Ashton) to uncover the conspiracy. Kevin Bacon also joins as police Captain Grant.

Netflix has released a new video on YouTube to catch fans up on all of Murphy’s Axel Foley movies and what to expect from his next adventure in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. The video features Kevin Bacon breaking down Eddie Murphy’s journey in the original Beverly Hills Cop trilogy, while also shedding light on how Taylour Paige (Jane Saunders) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Bobby Abbott) fit into the storyline of the latest installment.
