Apple TV+ has locked in the return of Invasion for a third season, and the newly released teaser makes one thing clear: the aliens aren’t holding back. “This is not a warning. This is war.” Those chilling words headline the brief but ominous trailer, setting the stakes sky-high for the next round of episodes.
Premiering August 22, Season 3 picks up with the disparate survivors from around the globe finally converging. After two seasons of chaos, grief, and narrowly dodging death, it’s time to push back. Humanity isn’t just hiding anymore, it’s organizing. And that means one target: the alien mothership.

The teaser hints at an intensified tone, with Earth’s defenders rushing to mount an offensive while apex-level aliens sweep the planet like a deadly stormfront. The ensemble cast, led by Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, and Shamier Anderson, returns to the fight, this time as a unified front. Joining them is Erika Alexander, whose genre experience brings fresh energy to the resistance.
Season 2 ended with a seismic cliffhanger. Trevante found himself inside the alien hive mind, only to realize he wasn’t alone. Caspar had made the leap, too, but something about him was… off. The mystery deepens with his eerie transformation and Mitsuki’s psychic entanglement, all of which suggest that the battlefront isn’t just physical, it’s mental, metaphysical, and psychological.

With a ten-episode run scheduled to air weekly through October 24, Invasion is doubling down on its cerebral approach to the alien invasion genre. Rather than lean into explosions and spectacle, it’s sticking with its signature formula: slow-burning dread, intense human drama, and characters you can’t quite predict.
Apple TV+ continues to make a name for itself in prestige science fiction, and Invasion holds its ground beside Severance, Foundation, and Silo. The genre is crowded, but this one’s got teeth. You can check our the first teaser for season 3 below.
