Godzilla has been terrorizing cities on the big screen for the last 70 years but he will now make his TV debut on Apple TV’s, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.
The series which premieres November 17 on Apple TV+ stars Kurt Russell and his son Wyatt Russell, Wyatt will play the younger version of the same character as the story is based across decades as the origins of the monster is investigated.

Godzilla in its current incarnation was brought back to the big screen in 2014 by Gareth Edwards. The film revolves around the awakening of the colossal creature, which triggers a series of cataclysmic events. Humanity struggles to contain the chaos and understand the creature’s origins.
At the time the film was hailed for its spectacular visual effects and is considered a thrilling and modern take on the classic monster.

The official synopsis for the series reads, “Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco, and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch.”
“Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army Officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows.”
