Ever since Winnie-the-Pooh and friends copyrights become part of the public domain in January 2022, Pooh & Piglet have terrorised audiences in the horror genre. And that will not change anytime soon with the announcement of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 and this time Tigger will join in the chaos.
Blood and Honey when released earlier this year, made over $5 Million at the box office, considering it was made with a $100,000 budget, that is a great success. That success has now spawned a sequel where Tigger will be able to join, as seen in the new image below provided by IGN. The reason for Tigger’s absence from the first film was due to the fact that his copyrights do not drop into the public domain until January, 2024 and this will be in time for Blood and Honey 2’s release.

Craig Dowesett will not return to play Winnie-the-Pooh
Craig Dowesett who donned the Pooh suit for the first Blood and Honey will however not return for the sequel. Speaking to The Nerd Shepherd he has wished them well as they take the franchise forward, saying.
“They have chosen to take a different course for the sequel and believe that a new cast will provide a fresh impetus. I wish them every success in their continuation and I look forward to what they have created in the next chapter of the Blood and Honey franchise.”

The new film will have a significantly higher budget and a host of new actors including BAFTA-nominated Simon Callow.
The cast also includes Scott Chambers as Christopher Robin, Ryan Olivia as Winnie-The-Pooh, and Peter DeSouza-Feighoney as Young Winnie-The-Pooh.
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is currently scheduled for release sometime February, 2024.
