New ‘Alien: Earth’ Teaser Xenomorphs Are Coming to Earth This Summer

Sci-Fi’s most feared creatures are heading to TV and Earth for the first time!

Brace yourselves Alien: Earth is on its way to Hulu this summer, and it’s bringing the franchise’s most infamous creatures directly to our home planet. A fresh teaser and eye-catching poster were unveiled by FX and 20th Century Studios. In true tongue-in-cheek fashion, the promo celebrates our world’s “natural beauty”… just before it hints at its imminent devastation.

To kick off the marketing campaign, IGN launched an interactive “World Guide” that delves into the lore and setting of the upcoming series. More than just a promo site, the guide serves as a rich companion to the show, offering sneak peeks and a video series that explores the terrifying evolution of the Xenomorph. It’s a unique entry point for longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Set in the year 2120, long before Ellen Ripley ever encountered the infamous alien menace, Alien: Earth paints a grim future dominated by mega-corporations. Five tech giants—Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic, and Threshold—act like superpowers, controlling everything from space exploration to synthetic life research. The balance of power begins to shift when a mysterious spacecraft crashes on Earth.

What emerges from the wreckage isn’t just a scientific anomaly, it’s a deadly warning. At the heart of the series is Wendy, played by Don’t Worry Darling’s Sydney Chandler. Alongside a band of gritty soldiers, she uncovers a threat far beyond anything humanity is prepared to handle. Their discovery sets off a chain of events that could change the fate of the planet.

The cast includes a stellar ensemble: Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, and Babou Ceesay, among others, all stepping into roles that promise high tension and high stakes. Showrunner Noah Hawley (Fargo) helms the project, directing two episodes himself, with Dana Gonzales taking the reins for four more.

Though the exact premiere date remains a mystery, a fresh perspective on the franchise’s roots and the horrifying arrival of Xenomorphs on Earth, Alien: Earth is shaping up to be the kind of nightmare sci-fi fans won’t want to miss.

Alien: Earth is set to premiere this summer, streaming on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ in the U.K.
