Emma Stone is brought back to life as a female Frankenstein, by an unorthodox scientist played by Willem Dafoe in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things.
The surreal teaser sees Stone playing Bella Baxter, who is returned to life by a brilliant and unorthodox scientist. Baxter is hooked up for shock treatment as electrical sparks fly.
Reborn, Bella embarks on an adventure to free herself from the prejudices of her times. “There is a world to enjoy, to circumnavigate. It is the goal of all to progress and grow,” She announces in the trailer, as she plots her course to freedom.
