Stranger Things season 5, has become the latest show to be delayed due to the Writer’s Guild of America strike. With production of the Netflix mega hit due to start later on this year. The Duffer Brothers confirmed via Twitter that it is not possible to continue, expressing, “We hope a fair deal is reached soon”.
The WGA officially declared strike on May 2 when they failed to come to an agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture. Protests began outside major studios in Los Angeles and New York, including Paramount, MGM, HBO & Disney. Disney have also demanded that showrunners continue to perform non writing duties.
