Wednesday Addams is back at Nevermore Academy and she’s not just there for the gothic ambiance. In the freshly dropped trailer for Wednesday Season 2, Jenna Ortega’s iconic character returns with a singular, chilling focus: save her best friend, Enid Sinclair. And if that means putting herself in the crosshairs again, so be it. As Ortega’s Wednesday puts it without flinching, “The sooner I get answers, the sooner I can save Enid. Or die trying.”
It’s a return to the place she’d likely rather forget. Even her mother, Morticia Addams, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones, seems surprised. “This is the first time you’ve ever willingly returned to a school,” she says in the trailer. But for Wednesday, it’s not nostalgia it’s necessity. She describes Nevermore as returning to the scene of a crime: “I already know where the bodies are buried.”

The emotional stakes are higher than ever. When black tears streak down Wednesday’s face in a harrowing moment, Morticia presses her for the truth. Her response? A quiet, devastating warning: “Enid dies and it’s all my fault.” That confession sets the tone for a season steeped in mystery, guilt, and the threat of loss.
Netflix’s logline for Season 2 makes it clear that Wednesday’s troubles are far from over. She’s once again surrounded by “family, friends and old adversaries,” caught in a web of secrets that refuses to stay buried. The new chapters promise more supernatural puzzles, more razor-edged dialogue, and more enemies lurking behind familiar faces.

The Addams family returns in full force, with Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, and Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester. With Emma Myers back as Enid. Also joining them is Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Joy Sunday, and more. Behind the camera, co-creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are back, along with executive producer and creator Tim Burton, whose visual signature remains unmistakable.
Part one premieres August 6, with part two following on September 3. Get ready for a darker, twistier Nevermore. You can watch the trailer below.
