20th Century Studios have dropped a new clip for new Poirot film A Haunting in Venice. Adapted from Agatha Christie’s novel Hallowe’en Party, Kenneth Branagh reprises his role as detective Poirot following 2022’s Death on the Nile and 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express.
The new clip features Michelle Yeoh’s character Joyce a medium who is enlisted to conduct a séance for Kelly Reilly’s grieving character Rowena Drake. Joyce calls upon the spirit of Alicia Drake. The ritual is seemingly effective as a spirit starts communicating by moving the keys on the typewriter, which leaves guests bewildered and Reilly’s character terrified. A subdued detective Poirot paces back and forth, seemingly skeptical. Watch the clip below.
The official synopsis for the film reads, “A Haunting in Venice is set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve, A Haunting in Venice is a terrifying mystery featuring the return of the celebrated sleuth, Hercule Poirot. Now retired and living in self-imposed exile in the world’s most glamorous city, Poirot reluctantly attends a séance at a decaying, haunted palazzo. When one of the guests is murdered, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets.”

Starring alongside Branagh are Jamie Dornan, Jude Hill, Kelly Reilly, Tina Fey and Michelle Yeoh.
A Haunting in Venice will be released in theaters September 15.
