Sony Pictures have released the first trailer for their upcoming film Madame Web. Connected to Sony’s Spider-Man cinematic universe, it stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb aka Madame Web & Sydney Sweeney as Julia Carpenter Spider-Woman in the comics.
Madame Web has clairvoyant powers and she has been associated with various Spider-Women throughout the comics.

The official synopsis for the film reads, “The origin story of one of Marvel publishing’s most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women destined for powerful futures, if they can all survive a deadly present.”
Also starring are Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott.

S.J. Clarkson directs Madame Web. Matt Sazama, Kerem Sazama and Burk Sharpless wrote the screenplay with Adam Merims as executive producer.
Madame Web will come to theaters on February 14, 2024.
