After eliciting enthusiastic initial reactions and with tickets now on sale, the final trailer for George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga has been released.
Furiosa, set 15 years prior to Charlize Theron’s take on the Imperator Furiosa, tracks the younger Furiosa into adulthood, 45 years after the collapse, showing how she became the leader and skilled survivalist viewers remember from Theron’s 2015 film.

Furiosa will track her journey from a young girl, (Played by Alyla Browne), who is taken from the sanctuary of the lush, verdant Green Place of Many Mothers. She finds herself thrust into a chaotic and desolate world ruled by Chris Hemsworth’s Warlord Dementus. As Furiosa (played by Anya Taylor-Joy) transitions into adulthood, she becomes determined to seek revenge and reclaim her life and her mother. With this resolve, she embarks on her journey.
The official synopsis for the film reads: “As the world falls, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and into the hands of a Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. While two Tyrants war for dominance over the Citadel, Furiosa survives many trials as she plots a way back home through the Wasteland.”

With only a matter of weeks until the highly anticipated Fury Road prequel, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, hits the big screen, early viewers are already raving about George Miller’s latest post-apocalyptic outing. Many are praising leads Taylor-Joy and Hemsworth, with the film being labeled a ‘blast’.
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will be in cinemas worldwide May 24.
