With just over two weeks until Ballerina hits theaters on June 6, Lionsgate has dropped a tense new clip teasing Ana de Armas’ gritty debut in the John Wick universe. The scene finds de Armas’ assassin walking into a stark kitchen, only to be confronted by an unknown threat.
In classic Wick fashion, calm words precede chaos. “I’m not gonna hurt you,” she says—right before she does exactly that. The action is fast, brutal, and sharp, hinting at the kind of balletic violence the franchise is known for. Check out the clip below.
Set between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 and Chapter 4, Ballerina follows Eve, a young woman with a traumatic past and a very specific skillset—one shaped by the deadly training of the Ruska Roma, the same secretive order that once molded Wick himself. She’s not just another killer. She’s a woman with a vendetta, and she’s bringing precision, firepower, and ballet-trained brutality with her.
Eve isn’t just another trained killer—she’s a weapon sharpened by grief and precision. Where John Wick was driven by vengeance with barely restrained fury, Eve is colder, more methodical. Her mission is personal, but her execution is professional. Every move she makes is part of a bigger plan, shaped by a life lived under the watchful eyes of assassins who taught her that elegance and brutality aren’t mutually exclusive.

Keanu Reeves returns in a supporting role, offering a thread of continuity for longtime fans. But make no mistake—this is Eve’s story. And while Wick’s legacy looms large, de Armas looks to carry the mantle with intensity.
The film also teases new faces and weapons, notably Eve’s flamethrower—a brutal tool she’s wielded in the film’s promotional material. Directed by Len Wiseman and produced by John Wick architect Chad Stahelski, Ballerina aims to expand the franchise without rehashing it.
With Ballerina, the John Wick universe is stepping into new territory, one led by a different kind of fury. If the latest glimpses are anything to go by, Eve isn’t following in Wick’s footsteps. She’s carving her own bloody path.
