The world of John Wick is stepping back into the spotlight with Ballerina, a new spin-off that promises just as much style, grit, and ballet-fueled vengeance. IGN has just debuted a batch of 12 brand-new character posters showcasing the film’s cast—including Ana de Armas, Keanu Reeves, and several intriguing newcomers.
The posters offer a striking first look at some of the key players in the upcoming action-thriller, which is set between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and Chapter 4. “It was so great to have the chance to play John Wick again and discover more of the John Wick world,” Reeves shared with IGN, hinting at deeper lore and a tighter connection to the original films.

At the heart of Ballerina is Eve, a young woman shaped by loss and trained in violence. After her father is killed, she’s taken in by the Ruska Roma—a familiar organization to Wick fans—and trained at their ballet school, which doubles as an elite assassin factory. Her story is one of calculated revenge, carried out with deadly precision.
Ana de Armas steps into the lead role as Eve, marking a fierce new presence in the Wick universe. The film sees her navigating a brutal world of killers while confronting the ghosts of her past. Keanu Reeves returns as John Wick, though this time, his presence supports rather than leads. The spin-off also features several mysterious new characters whose roles remain mostly under wraps.

Ballerina also marks a significant shift for the franchise behind the scenes. With Chad Stahelski sitting this one out, director Len Wiseman (known for the Underworld franchise and Live Free or Die Hard) is helming the project. Wiseman and de Armas appeared at CCXP 2024 to offer fans a sneak peek at what’s to come, promising a new perspective on a familiar universe.
Set to hit theaters on June 6, Ballerina is the first standalone film in the John Wick series and seems poised to blend the franchise’s brutal action with a haunting, revenge-fueled origin story. With these new character posters now out in the wild, the countdown to Eve’s debut begins.
