After a short UK cinema run, Den of Thieves 2: Pantera is finally ready for streaming — no heist required. As of today, Prime Video subscribers can catch the adrenaline-pumping sequel from the comfort of their couch.
Reuniting Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr., Pantera picks up where the first movie left off. Big Nick (Butler) and crafty thief Donnie Wilson (Jackson Jr.) find themselves entangled in a daring plan to rob the world’s largest diamond exchange. The story draws loose inspiration from the real-world 2003 Antwerp diamond heist, adding an extra layer of gritty realism to the action. Once again, Christian Gudegast returns as both writer and director, keeping the style consistent with the original.

Despite its limited theatrical release in the US earlier this year, Den of Thieves 2 pulled in a solid $57 million against a $40 million budget. Not bad for a sequel that some feared would be lost in the shuffle. In fact, the movie performed well enough to earn a greenlight for a third chapter, which is now officially in the works.
Fans of the franchise will be happy to hear that both Den of Thieves films are now available on Prime Video, offering a perfect double-feature opportunity. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the series, it’s the ideal time to dive into this gritty, globe-trotting saga of criminals and cops who are often two sides of the same coin.

Critics have been kinder to Pantera than they were to its predecessor. It currently holds a 62% score on Rotten Tomatoes, edging out the original. Critics have praised the sequel for its sharper focus, bigger action sequences, and the undeniable chemistry between Butler and Jackson Jr.
Meanwhile, Gerard Butler isn’t slowing down. He’ll soon return to the big screen as Stoick the Vast in the live-action remake of How to Train Your Dragon, reprising his role from the beloved animated series. But for now, fans can watch him chase diamonds and outsmart crooks across Europe.
Den of Thieves 2: Pantera is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video in the UK, while US audiences can watch it on Netflix.
