FX just dropped chilling new looks at Alien: Earth, and it’s safe to say Earth is about to become the galaxy’s next battleground. This time, humanity won’t just be up against a single Xenomorph — five vicious new lifeforms are on their way, and survival is anything but guaranteed.
Leading the charge is Sydney Chandler, following in the franchise’s tradition of fierce female protagonists. Alongside her is a squad of tactical soldiers, drawn into a nightmare after a mysterious vessel crash-lands on Earth. The teaser wastes no time hinting at the chaos: locked cages, eerie silhouettes, and creatures unlike anything we’ve seen before. If the Xenomorph wasn’t bad enough, imagine five new nightmares unleashed on home soil.

The series comes from Noah Hawley, known for twisting expectations with Legion and Fargo. Set two years before Ridley Scott’s 1979 Alien, the story brings the horror closer to home as a recovery mission turns into an all-out fight for survival. Humanity’s greed once again opens the door to destruction, as corporations seek to profit from weaponizing the universe’s most lethal species.
Official synopsis:
When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in the sci-fi horror series “Alien: Earth.” As members of the crash recovery crew search for survivors among the wreckage, they encounter mysterious predatory life forms more terrifying than they could have ever imagined. With this new threat unlocked, the search crew must fight for survival and what they choose to do with this discovery could change planet Earth as they know it.
Hawley’s vision teases more than just new monsters; it hints at a deeper connection to Prometheus and Alien: Covenant lore. Sharp-eyed fans have already spotted glimpses of designs similar to the early forms of the Xenomorph, including a possible nod to the Naiad or Trilobite creatures.
The cast lineup packs even more firepower with Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Essie Davis and others joining Chandler. With its arrival in summer 2025, Alien: Earth looks to promises a blood-soaked, nerve-wracking addition to the legendary sci-fi horror saga.
