Russel Crowe’s latest movie looks an intriguing mystery as he stars in upcoming crime thriller Sleeping Dogs. Crowe stars as Roy Freeman a former homicide detective who undergoes a revolutionary Alzheimer’s treatment.
Needing to sharpen his mind he re-visits an old case, a brutal murder from his past. While fighting his own mind and struggling with his memory, he tries to put together the pieces. He turns to his former partner and the pair re-investigate the brutal murder of a college professor.
Freeman’s case is hampered by a web of secrets and contradictions and he carries an added pressure that an innocent man may pay for the crime if he doesn’t untangle the mystery.
Alongside Crowe the film has an excellent cast that includes Karen Gillan, Marton Csokas, Tommy Flanagan, Lucy-Rose Leonard, Elizabeth Blackmore, and Thomas M. Wright.
Sleeping Dogs is an adaptation of 2017 crime novel ‘The Book of Mirrors’ by E. O. Chirovici. The screenplay is written by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, with Cooper as making his directional debut.
Sleeping Dogs will be in cinemas March 22.
