Joel and Ellie return in first Look Images from HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2. Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, reprising their roles, take center stage as the first photos of the eagerly anticipated second season were unveiled at the Warner Bros. The highly-anticipated video game adaptation is slated to make its comeback in 2025, delving into the plot of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II. Craig Mazin resumes his role as showrunner for the second installment, with filming commencing earlier this year in British Columbia. Production is on track to wrap up by the end of this summer.

While the release date for Season 2 remains undisclosed, fans can anticipate its premiere on HBO sometime in 2025, with streaming available on Max in the US and for UK fans the action will be coming to SKY TV.

The returning cast for Season 2 features of course Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey returning as Joel and Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy, as well as Rutina Wesley as Maria.
