The Xenomorphs are coming to Earth—and they’re not coming quietly. FX has confirmed that Alien: Earth, the long-anticipated series from Fargo and Legion creator Noah Hawley, will debut on August 12. The first two episodes will premiere on Hulu at 8 p.m. ET and simultaneously hit FX and Disney+ internationally.
The show’s weekly rollout will continue every Tuesday night, with one new episode dropping at 8 p.m. ET through the season’s eight-episode run. It’s the franchise’s first live-action series, and judging by the early footage, it’s not holding back on scale—or terror.

Set two years before the original Alien film, Alien: Earth explores what happens when the nightmare finally hits our home turf. A crashed spacecraft, locked quarantine zones, and a glimpse of disturbing new creature designs signal that this is no simple survival story. As always, corporate interests are meddling where they shouldn’t, and the result looks deadly.
Official synopsis:
When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in the sci-fi horror series Alien: Earth. As members of the crash recovery crew search for survivors among the wreckage, they encounter mysterious predatory life forms more terrifying than they could have ever imagined. With this new threat unlocked, the search crew must fight for survival and what they choose to do with this discovery could change planet Earth as they know it.
You can check out the first look images below of Timothy Olyphant and Sydney Chandler.

Sydney Chandler leads the series, stepping into the franchise’s tradition of strong, determined female leads. She plays a central figure in what appears to be a military response unit drawn into a growing catastrophe. The cast also includes Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, and Alex Lawther, rounding out an ensemble with serious range.

The latest teaser hints a multitude of monsters dropping in on Earth not just the Xenomorphs as its deeper connection to Prometheus and Alien: Covenant lore, looks promising. Sharp-eyed fans have already spotted glimpses of designs similar to the early forms of the Xenomorph, including a possible nod to the Naiad or Trilobite creatures.
Coming off the success of Alien: Romulus and with its blend of mythology, grounded horror, and a return to the franchise’s roots, Alien: Earth is shaping up to be more than just a spinoff but a reinvention.
