Guy Ritchie series The Gentlemen has been renewed for a second season. The show, which stars Theo James and Kaya Scodelario as partners in crime, will return for eight episodes. James and Scodelario are confirmed to return as Eddie Horniman, an aristocrat, and Susie Glass, the heiress to a drug empire. Ritchie is also coming back to direct and write the series.
In the first season, Eddie inherits his father’s country estate, only to uncover that Susie Glass and her imprisoned father Bobby Glass, played by Ray Winstone, have been operating a cannabis empire on the property. Initially intent on distancing his family from these illicit activities, Eddie soon finds himself enticed by the allure of the criminal world, discovering not only a penchant for it but also a surprising aptitude.

His sudden rise doesn’t go unnoticed, drawing the attention of London’s notorious criminal figures. As Eddie becomes increasingly entangled with unsavory characters, fully immersing himself in a life of crime.
The series is set in the same universe as Guy Ritchie’s 2019 film The Gentlemen, which starred Charlie Hunnam and Matthew McConaughey. Although the new series does not feature any crossover characters, it boasts an impressive cast alongside James, Winstone, and Scodelario, including Vinnie Jones, Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, and Giancarlo Esposito.

Netflix U.K.’s VP of Content shared with Variety that the announcement of the second season comes in response to the series being a “huge hit” with audiences in 2024.
With its gun-toting chickens and drug-dealing Dukes, ‘The Gentlemen’ was a huge hit with audiences in 2024. Not really a surprise as Guy Ritchie remains one of the industry’s most iconic creators telling authentically British stories with his signature swagger, grit and wit. We are thrilled the series will be returning to Netflix for a second season, and cannot wait to see what happens when the worlds of old money and drug money collide once more.
