Dexter fans received exciting news at Comic-Con’s panel for the prequel series, Original Sin. Not only will Michael C. Hall narrate the prequel, but he is also set to return on screen in a brand-new sequel series, Dexter: Resurrection.
Hall will provide the inner voice narration for a young Dexter, played by Patrick Gibson, in the prequel series Dexter: Original Sin. Set in the 1990s, this series was previously announced and delves into Dexter’s early years.
Showtime is also expanding the Dexter universe even further with a new series called Dexter: Resurrection, which brings Michael C. Hall back in the lead role as Dexter Morgan. Serving as a follow-up to 2021’s Dexter: New Blood, with the series set in the present day. The news was revealed during a surprise appearance from Hall.
Paramount Global Co-CEO Chris McCarthy discussed the new series and how Dexter: Original Sin will introduce the character to a new audience.
We are thrilled to have the brilliant Michael C. Hall reprise his iconic role as Dexter Morgan in Showtime’s most successful series ever, While ‘Dexter: Ressurection’ will appeal to the tens of millions of longtime fans, ‘Dexter: Original Sin’ will introduce a whole new generation of viewers into this iconic series by starting from the beginning, which is sure to satisfy existing audiences as well.
