In the opulent world of Nantucket’s elite, where wealth and perfection seem synonymous, Netflix unveils The Perfect Couple. The 6 part show is an adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand’s acclaimed murder mystery and promises intrigue and suspense against the backdrop of a lavish wedding.
In Nantucket Harbor, the idyllic scene of a wedding takes a chilling turn when a lifeless body surfaces before the ceremony begins. As suspicions mount over the mysterious circumstances of the death, the once-celebratory atmosphere gives way to a tense investigation.
Among the implicated wedding guests, Nicole Kidman’s Greer Garrison Winbury the grooms mother finds herself under police scrutiny. The unfolding drama will thrust viewers into a compelling narrative of intrigue and suspicion, where every revelation deepens the mystery surrounding the unfortunate event on the beach.
The trailer sees the investigation kick off with police questioning Kidman’s Greer. “Is there something you want to tell me?” one officer asks Kidman. Meanwhile, Liev Schreiber’s Tag Winbury appears unfazed, commenting to officers, “It all feels dramatic for an accidental drowning.”
In the storyline, Eve Hewson’s Amelia Sacks prepares to marry into one of Nantucket’s most affluent families. The groom’s mother, Greer, a renowned novelist, spares no expense in organizing a lavish high-society wedding. However, the idyllic atmosphere is shattered when the body washes up on the beach, abruptly turning their Champagne dreams into a haze of suspicion.
The Perfect Couple is a limited series, premiering September 5 on Netflix, alongside, Kidman, Schreiber and Hewson there is a stacked cast that includes Dakota Fanning, Ishaan Khatter, Jack Reynor, Meghann Fahy, and Billy Howle.
