Born and raised in Philadelphia, David Corenswet is the child of two lawyers, his father previously worked as a theatre actor. He was a child actor who appeared in a number of professional stage productions in Philadelphia. In his teenage years, he wrote and starred in his own film.

Corenswet graduated from Julliard in 2018, two years later he landed a role on Netflix’s House of Cards. He then went on to star in Ryan Murphy’s series The Politician. In 2022, he appeared in the HBO miniseries We Own This City

Many have remarked on his astonishing resemblance to Henry Cavill making this an interesting choice from James Gunn, following fan outrage after Cavill was pushed out. He is however 3 inches taller than Cavill, Corenswet stands at 6 foot 4 inches tall, with his similar looks, it’s not hard to imagine the 29 year old in this role.

Who is Rachel Brosnahan?

Rachel Brosnahan born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1990, is a more recognisable face. The 32 year is more established in Hollywood with a number of high profile roles under her belt. Brosnahan was cast in her first movie role as Lisa in the horror movie The Unborn while she was still in high school.

She has appeared in films such as Beautiful Creatures & Patriots Day and series House of Cards. She is mostly known for Amazon Prime Video series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for which she has won two Golden Globes.

Among all of the rumored frontrunners for Lois Lane, Brosnahan was the oldest of the candidates. With James Gunn wanting a young Clarke Kent, many on social media had picked Emma Mackey as the favorite for Lane, with Brosnahan’s age being the main reason many initially ruled her out.

DC Comics
