Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled the first trailer for Zoë Kravitz’s twisted directorial debut, Blink Twice. It stars Channing Tatum as a tech billionaire who lures women onto his private island.
The trailer begins with Tatum’s character, Slater King, exclaiming in jest, “So… everybody’s dead.” As the trailer flashes back we see him introduce his group of friends to Naomi Ackie’s character, Frida. He then extends an invitation to Frida and her friend, Jess, played by Alia Shawkat, to join him on his private island.

Over the course of the trailer, the ladies relish in the luxuries of Slater King’s life, having dinners and champagne as Jess asks Frida jokingly “So do you think the human sacrifice is before or after dinner?” Before things really get creepy.
The official synopsis for the films reads, Frida is a young waitress in Los Angeles who has her eye on tech entrepreneur Slater King. On a dream vacation to his private island, strange things start to happen. Frida will have to uncover the truth if she wants to make it out alive.

Alongside Tatum, Ackie and Shawkat the cast includes Christian Slater, Kyle MacLachlan, Adria Arjona, Geena Davis, Levon Hawke and Haley Joel Osment.
Blink Twice is Directed and Co-Written by Zoe Kravitz in what marks her directional debut, the film will be released in theaters August 23.
