The films tagline says, “A race to the White House in a near-future America balanced on the razor’s edge.” Set in the near future, the U.S. has entered a new civil war with the president authorizing air strikes against civilians, with journalists being shot on sight at the capitol.
The trailer opens to devastation across the U.S. with news reports of civil war, stating “19 states have seceded,” one reporter says on the radio.
The trailer contains various provocative images, including U.S. soldiers and military vehicles tearing through American cities during an apparent uprising.
“Do you regret the use of airstrikes on American citizens?” a journalist speaking to “three-term” president who is played by Nick Offerman.
