British fans of The Walking Dead will finally witness the return of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) to the franchise this week, after waiting a staggering three months after the US release of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
Every episode of the highly anticipated spinoff series, will exclusively premiere on Sky Max and NOW starting Friday, May 31st. After Sky and streaming service NOW signed a long-term partnership with AMC Networks.
Described as an epic love story the official synopsis reads, Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors? Without each other, are they even alive—or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?
The Ones Who Live marks the third installment in a successful series of spin-offs, joining The Walking Dead: Dead City, which centers around Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan), and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, focusing on the fan-favorite character played by Norman Reedus. Both spin-offs have already been renewed for second seasons and these will also land on SKY and NOW TV for UK fans later this year.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live has received widespread praise in the US, earning positive reviews from both critics and fans. It currently holds an IMDb score of 8.0 and an 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from audiences and critics alike.
Starting tomorrow, Friday, May 31st, all episodes of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live will be accessible to UK fans on SKY and NOW TV.
