Life on Our Planet shows us earth’s prehistoric inhabitants and how they managed to conquer and survive. The trailer includes a glimpse at the extinction level event that killed the dinosaurs, as a meteor lights the sky a fire red.
Silverback series producer Keith Scholey told Netflix’s Queue “By understanding our past, we can help shape our future.”
“The sixth mass extinction we’re currently living through is the first one created by an animal, and also the first one that can be averted completely.”

The official synopsis for the show reads, “Today there are 20 million species on our planet, yet what we see is just a snapshot in time, 99 per cent of earth’s inhabitants are lost to our deep past. The story of what happened to these dynasties their rise and their fall is truly remarkable.”
All Eight episodes of Life on our Planet will be available on Netflix October 25.
