Secret Invasion is based on the comic series by Brian Michael Bendis and will premiere on Disney+ June 21. After Far From Home where we learned that Nick Fury had been spending time in space, while on Earth, Skrull Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) had been impersonating the former SHIELD agent. In Secret Invasion Nick Fury will be back on Earth to deal with the influx of Skrull refugees and the escalating war.
The series will be heavily focused around Fury. When asked why he hasn’t called in any of his “special friends” Fury says that this is a war that he needs to fight alone.
The series will also see Don Cheadle’s James “Rhodey” Rhodes, Olivia Colman as Sonya Falsworth, Emilia Clarke as G’iah the daughter of Mendelsohn’s Talos.
