With the release of A Quiet Place: Day One just under two months away, there has been surprisingly little footage since the first trailer. However, today Paramount Pictures has released a new full-length trailer that sees New York City utterly devastated from the alien invasion.
The upcoming prequel is set in the critically acclaimed franchise from director John Krasinski, and as the title suggests, the movie delves into the start of the invasion, portraying the arrival of deadly alien creatures with hyper-sonic hearing on Earth.

We caught a brief glimpse of the aliens’ arrival in a flashback at the start of A Quiet Place Part II, but now, with this prequel, we’ll get a comprehensive look at the carnage their arrival would cause.
The prequel spin-off will not feature the Abbott family but will instead introduce us to a whole new set of characters that includes Sam (Lupita Nyong’o), a woman described as being on a day trip to New York City when chaos breaks out. She pairs up with Joseph Quinn’s Eric, and together they do their best to survive as the city descends into chaos.

The new trailer sees the pair trying to find shelter as New York City is cut off, and they also begin to comprehend that the aliens navigate by sound. However, the trailer also failed to further elaborate on Djimon Hounsou’s appearance, who of course had a role in Part Two.
John Krasinski isn’t behind the camera this time; it’s directed by Michael Sarnoski. However, Krasinski has co-written the story alongside the director.
A Quiet Place: Day One will be in cinemas worldwide June 28.
