Netflix are dipping into the world of Big Pharma once again after their recent series Painkiller. This time they are turning their focus to sales reps who make it big during the opioid crisis that has plagued America.
The new trailer opens with Emily Blunt as a struggling single mother, making a promise to herself saying, “I will not give up on myself, I will not give up on my dreams, I will make my life count.”

Blunt is recruited by Chris Evans into the pharmaceutical world where she is astounded by the commissions sales reps earn. But she has no idea that the company is a failing, illegal business. She soon finds herself stuck in the middle of a racketeering scheme, as the FBI come down on them.
Andy Garcia plays billionaire Jack Neel a doctor who developed a new pain medication that Zanna Therapeutics is trying to popularise in the market.

Dealing with her increasingly unhinged boss, as he rages about quarterly sales and the worsening medical condition of her daughter (Chloe Coleman). As she slowly starts to become aware of the companies illegal activities, she takes a long hard look at herself.
The official synopsis for the film reads, After losing her job, a woman who’s struggling to raise her daughter takes a job out of desperation. She begins work at a failing pharmaceutical startup, but what she doesn’t anticipate is the dangerous racketeering scheme she’s suddenly entered.

Directed by David Yates it also stars Catherine O’Hara, Jay Duplass and Brian d’Arcy James. Pain Hustlers will be released on Netflix on October 27. It will is also be released in limited theaters a week earlier on October 20.
