Tom Holland far from his usual clean cut image from Spiderman stars in new Apple TV thriller The Crowded Room alongside Amanda Seyfried, Emmy Rossum and Jason Isaacs. He plays Danny Sullivan an unassuming, disheveled young man arrested in 1979 after a shooting in New York City.
The chilling new trailer shows Danny under interrogation by Detective Rya Goodwin played by Amanda Seyfried.
Danny struggles with his memory of what happened and his mental health, admitting to having “blank spots” as he protests his innocence, believing there is a larger conspiracy behind it.
Tom Holland recently described how the show took a toll on his own mental health and described the show as “an insight into the power of the human mind” and “the ways in which we can deal with trauma.” In an interview with EW.
“I’m no stranger to the physical aspects of the job doing the whole action-movie thing,” But the mental aspect, it really beat me up and it took a long time for me to recover afterwards, to sort of get back to reality.”
Watch the trailer for The Crowded Room. Starting June 9 on Apple TV.
